INDUSTRY: Retail and E-commerce
One of the largest eCommerce Food Retailer in Eastern Europe. The company's e-commerce platforms are supported by an extensive logistics network, including warehouses and delivery fleets, which enable it to provide fast and reliable delivery to customers.
The eCommerce actively uses microservices and container architecture and for the management of such infrastructure uses Kubernetes. However, the shift to a more dynamic ecosystem made it difficult for Food Retailer to maintain complete visibility with its existing monitoring solution. With its existing approach to monitoring, eCommerce’sIT teams would need to manually inject script into individual container images, a cumbersome and time-consuming task.
eCommerce approached Loglix, the managed services provider, to provide full-stack observability and troubleshooting as a service and help the customer's in-house engineering team achieve full visibility of the containerized environment and troubleshoot faster the problems occurring in Kubernetes without increasing IT expenses.
To eliminate blind spots in microservices architecture and Kubernetes and achieve the eCommerce's KPIs without wasting the resources of the customer's engineering team and decreasing IT expenses, Loglix replaced the pool of monitoring tools used by the customer with the observability solution developed by Loglix R&D team.
Existing monitoring tools did not give the necessary visibility and did not provide speeding up the troubleshooting and at the same time required significant financial expenses both for license fees and constant payments for exceeding the limits, which were not avoidable, as the eCommerce's business was actively growing and with it the IT infrastructure was growing too.
Loglix observability platform collected 100% transaction traces without sampling and proactively determined the health of the entire Food Retailer’s Infrastructure, including Kubernetes based on built-in AI policies and significantly saved the customer's IT budget and at the same time helped to achieve targeted KPI.
The achievement of targeted goals was made possible not only by deploying a single monitoring platform but also through regular processes executed by Loglix as apart of Loglix Managed Full Stack Application Monitoring and Support 24/7service and included such activities as:
Web application availability and Web application security are highly contingent. A successful web application attack may not only put users' data at risk but may result in revenue loss due to digital services interruption and unavailability as well. Since Loglix provides comprehensive managed services, including Cybersecurity monitoring services, and Loglix 's team includes Cybersecurity engineers, even within the managed Full stack monitoring services, we involve our Cybersecurity engineers to help to improve the security protection of customer's digital services as an extra service free of charge.
By replacing the pool of monitoring tools with the Loglix observability solution and providing regular auditing and troubleshooting works Loglix providedFull-stack and Kubernetes observability, resulting in a reduced issues resolution from days to 20 minutes and a significant decrease Mean time to resolve (MTTR) for 35%.
The most immediate benefit of Loglix Managed Observability service for eCommerce was its impact on reducing IT costs, a significant part of which resulted from the use of expensive monitoring platforms which did not give the required result to the customer.
With Loglix Managed Full Stack Application Monitoring and Support 24/7 service, eCommerce Food Retailer was able to push its digital services to production faster, at scale, and with security onboard.
As Loglix supplements and strengthens the Food Retailer engineering team by offering proactive full-stack monitoring and helping in troubleshooting, It became possible to unlock the resources of the customer's DevOps and Software development specialists and direct them to the launch of new eCommerce products and services which made it possible to achieve growth 25% Time to market.
